Overview:
Hurst Competition/Plus shifters have been the benchmark of transmission control and race-proven since 1963, and still today are constructed using the same high standards that George instated back then. Hurst Competition/Plus installation kits are custom designed to fit directly into your vehicles, with the least possible modifications, and to give you firm positive shifts every time. This kit comes with everything necessary (shifter not included) to install your Hurst Competition/Plus shifter in your car. The Muncie (452, 453) transmissions can be identified by the fact they use a bolt to secure the shift arm to the shift fork on the transmission. Note: 1963-1968 Muncie (451) transmissions use a stud (with a nut) coming off the shift fork of the transmission to secure the shift arm to the transmission and will require a different installation kit then this one.
This installation kit fits the following vehicles with a Muncie (452, 453) 4-speed transmission:

|Q. What is an Intermediate Brake Line?
|A. This is the line that runs from the front of the vehicle to the rear. On most vehicles it connects to a junction then you will have rear axle lines. On a few cars the intermediate lines will connect to the rear wheels. It is recommended to change the axle lines if you are replacing the intermediate lines.
